What does a good supplement consists of?
Good supplements are the basic foundation for our health. It should contain a broad range of vitamins, minerals, trace elements and phyto-nutrients that are essential for our cellular health. Together, the nutrients provide our cells with all the building blocks that our cells need, all the time, to repair, rebuild and protect themselves from external oxidant agents.
Besides variety and balance, it should come in the safest and most bio-available forms. For example,
- Beta-Carotene, a precursor to Vitamin A, is safer than synthetic Vitamin A as any excess will be passed out of the body. Excess vitamin A can be toxic to your health.
- Chelated mineral (one attached to amino acid molecules) are easier for our body to absorb and utilise.
- It dissolves easily in the body within 10 minutes or so.
